Current thoughts and feelings:
Working here really make me feel the importance of health. I am not bull-shitting. Coz yesterday went to diabetics centre, saw this poor patient with his legs swollen and with wounds that take months or even years to recover.
What is diabetes? It is actually "Diabetes Mellitus".
"Diabetes Mellitus" was derived from 2 terms:
....and the Latin word "Mellitus" = sweet as honey
If you think you are young and healthy and will not get diabetes, you are WRONG!
I have seen people around my age (i am 19 turning 20), who goes to diabetes centre for treatment. This means that diabetes could happen to anyone of any age, especially when it is hereditary.
How bad can diabetes get? Diabetes "might" result in
1) Eye disease -> loss of eye ball)
2) Foot Disease -> Swollen of feet, wound take a longer time to recovered compared to others)
3) Kidney Disease -> kidney failure requiring dialysis
4) Heart -> Coronary artery disease or blockage of the arteries supplying the heart
5) Nervous System
Prevent is better than cure. You should know better how to prevent.
