Continuing on this topic, it is all about gers.

Gers that matter to me (from Schools)

Amelia (Friends of 12y aka mayu aka 50% of kkg)

i was struggling if i should write about them as kkg or as individual. I treat them as individual but used to hanging out with them as a pair. But considering the recently MIA from sg period of time, i spent alot of time with them individually. Our friendship started with my sudden interest in anime & japanese drama & japanese culture that direct towards this quiet ger in our class with specs & plaits. In between lesson or any so-called "free-time" i would move to her seat and ask her more about the japanese stuff. A surprising trigger that bring us close and we even went to the same 3-month Pre-Uni before our O'level results release. We skipped lesson to pop over to standard place such as Orchard (HMV) & Suntec (Tower Records). I wonder why we never got bored of those places during that period of time. The interesting thing about us is that we never purpose arrange to meet, but we always meet just becoz we have something that both of us wanna do. Unlike some groups who we will arrange for a gathering, i always meet her for non-gathering matters, but just becoz, both wanna sing or wanna do some activities together. And P.S. I love bitching to her. =)

Adeline (Friends of 10y aka miyabi aka 50% of kkg)

My 1st impression of her is "scary". I recalling gg kkg house and she came back from school and probably in a bad mood. But that strong 1st impression is enough to make me treat her carefully for the nx approx 1 year. We seldom contact each other directly during the start of the friendship, but as both of us got that "character" or you can call it "attitude", we hit off well during some "internal-issue" for kanojo-tachi. In fact, we were kept out of the issue-discussion, then sometimes we just happily go shopping. (I wonder if she remembers). The turning point for both of us is when mayu goes to study in Japan. Like mention earlier, we never been out alone just the 2 of us, so after mayu fly, we arrange once to meet. In fact i was nervous, as nervous as a first date. After the "date", i realise that she was also abit nervous but yeah, we manage to connect directly without mayu's help ^^. In fact, to think about it, we went to some random activities while mayu is not around such as F1 (with my hubby as the light-bulb). It was really fun and now i think i gg to miss her since she is flying off soon.

KKG as a whole.

I mention this randomly to my mum once. The 2 of them is like family to me. We literally grew up together, listening to music, watching drama, anime, learning makeup (i rmb how lost we were with eyeliner & mascara last time), changing from jeans to skirt & dress, changing from sport shoes to heels & wedges. I, who seldom have close ger-friends, i would say they are gems to me. =D

Suchun (Friends of 12y aka chun)

I was closer to her before i started sticking around with mayu. Chun is the only ger-friend whose house is a place i loiter at everyday after school. There was this period of time who i went to her house everyday, be it watching chinese-drama or doing homework. Once, i even went her house to prepare yun's bday present. She is one of the sweetest ger i ever knew, and even though we seldom contact now (we do meet up once in a while), she stay in my heart as an impt dotter since i have been like her mum for over 10y =P. She is the only one who i would contact her hubby if i can't find her, without the need to worry that she might get sensitive over it (which i would fear for some other friends). She is probably the kindest ger i ever knew. Love her max!

Shuhan (Friends of 6y)

I told someone this when i was trying to know her better "If we become friends, i believe she is one who will stay and will be there for me". Till now, this statement nv change. I always feel guilty towards her because of my busy schedule. But she nv grumble and always be there for me. The most ever sporting ger who went clubbing with us on my hens' night though i know it is never her cup of tea. =) 6y gives us little history for me to write, but i know we have alot of future to write about.

I will be writing on part 03 soon which are friends of shorter years but they are just so awesome to me. stay tuned. 

Friends etc - part 01

It started with me reading my cousin blog and thinking what was i doing when i was her age. The easiest way was obviously to dig out my old blog post and see what i have written previously.

But it does make me sad.. Coz it reminded myself of losing friends whom i once was very close with..

Therefore, i feel that it is amazing to be able to keep my bunch of lovely friends. Since i'm meeting up with yan today, i shall talk about Max 5 1st.

Liyan (Friends of 14y+ aka yan)

The two of us have alot of ups and downs. Was very close during Sec 1 & 2 but slightly move away due to difference in thoughts. Then we went on to different classes in upper secondary with different groups of friends and we remain as friends but wasn't as close as before.. But she is always there when i need someone to talk to. You know this is very amazing when you are in your teens. Most ppl are so self-centered (esp me) and you seldom find someone like her. Since secondary, she seen me through my relationships, breakup, falling-in-love, getting out of it without starting a relationship and till the day i got married, she is still around. When i got lost touch to meetup, she will prompt me. I have no common interest with her in comparison to KKG but we never have problem talking during a catch-up. She is one who i can tell my deepest secret to, and one who i meet up with not becoz of what we are going to do, but just becoz i want to see her. Sometimes i feel that this friendship is really a miracle.

Chang Pin (Friends of 12y+ aka pin)

When ppl say man & woman can be good friends, the 1st person i thought of is him. You know, we have never been in the same class, and i don't even remember how we became close. All i remember are days when we talk on the phone during school time and sometimes i even talk to his mum. When we say talk long hours on the phone, we exchange no lovey-dovey message, but if you ask me what we chat about, i seriously don't remember a thing. He is probably the only guy in my life who i went to watch a movie alone with and we are not dating. In fact, i enjoy watching movies with him. We will forever have the memories of watching JuOn on X'mas eve (or X'mas) with some ger behind throwing down some popcorns.

Peiyun (Friends of 14y+ aka yun)

I had my 17th, 18th, 19th birthday lunch with her. We became closest when both of us are the NYP and the rest of the clique were in JC. Separate life we lead with meet-ups with Max 5 during holidays. Among Max 5, i spend most time with her during the poly times. I think that she bring the fun to Max 5. Her reaction towards things will make us continue to make jokes and had a good laugh about it. With her around, i never fail to laugh utill stomach cramps when i go out with Max 5. By the way, if you never heard this before, i have once declare that if i were a man, she will be my ideal wife. ^^

Yan Hao (Friends of 14y aka boss)

Before pin comes into the picture, our clique is me + boss + yan + yun + kee + teck. 6 of us do our project together and had alot of fun. But in the end, only this 4 of us survive in this group, and pin join us. He is like liyan number 2 to me. When liyan is away from SG for 2 years and i badly need a listening ear, he came out and listen to me. Boss is a very humble person, no doubt born in a good family, he have never show us any spoilt brat characters and i even thought he came from a humble family util the day i step into his house, i was stunned. Nicknamed Boss, he is really Boss. He always bring us gifts back from his holiday trip and always drive us back after an outing. =)

Hubby bday celebration - food story

Saw from online about a shop call shin yuu which offer japanese buffet at pretty affordable price. Hubby like the food, but i find it so-so. He thinks i'm totally spolit.

But the sake is pretty good. so i was wondering that it should be izakaya instead

Hubby bday celebration - cake story

I ordered cake from metrocake which is freaking good! So good that i told hubby, no need surprise, just give me "dark knight" for my bday. LOL

I bought him "duke of earl" which literally suit him alot due to his liking for tea.





Each cake is place on a leveled box, where knife & cutlery were given,

And hubby finally reach 30 years old which i'm pretty amused it. Feels like a different gen.

Pray - Eat - Shop - Dessert - Drink day!

Boss lew always not around when we take pictures.

We met up at 1pm to pray at si-ma-lu. I was so guai that i took a bus, with thanks to all the ppl who entertain me in one way or another during the boring 40mins journey. I cannot take bus alone. Damn bored.

After praying, which wasn't very good, we took boss lew car to thomson plaza to eat high-tea dim sum buffet. All cannot make it for buffet!! *LONG SIGH*

Good that they seems to like the food, especially the prawns & veg i guess. Thanks euxil for the treat =D

After makan, boss lew decided to say good bye, but drop us at vivo for shopping. It was super bored to shop during GSS coz the clothes are horrible and cheap also not that cheap wat. In the end, we drag our feet around and ended up eating dessert



Best Lava Cake so far! But it is call souffle here, and cost $16!!@___@



This is quality, especially after i saw the pathetic lava cake from last night, i knew this is good. And with good cocoa powder. Yummy~~

After that, we were contemplating to drink at ktv, or drink at st james. In the end, we went st james, and clear off a whiskey and a moet



Moet after Macallan taste horrible. =(

I seriously enjoy myself alot that day with a bit of craziest and abit of crankiness. It was the company that make it good.

but i was actually the one who 放他飞机 on the day that we suppose to meet.. sorry sorry.. coz must understand that i only have that evening to go and get my lovely camera from the PC show.... blah blah blah.. oops...

why BFF

can you believe that someone is so self-less? yes, self-less.. everything he do is for everyone else but rarely himself..

he is one who i can make alot of nuisance to him, bash him up, slap him, and we still declare each other friends forever.

when i'm unreasonable to him, it would be 10 or 100 times worse than i can be to anyone else. let's say watch movie, an example

P: watch movie?
J: i want watch the XXX (some show he not interested), coz no one wanna watch with me
P: OK. watch where?
J: erm.. dunno.. i lazy leh.. watch at J8 ba.
P: OK. what time slot?
J: abt noon ba.. you go book tickets before i come (obviously i stay nearer)
P: hao ba.. hao ba..
J: and buy popcorn, coke, nacho chips before hand
P: popcorn sweet de hao ma? (he eat sweet de)
J: NO.
P: half half? (half sweet, half salty)
J: NO.
P: one-third sweet, two-third salty?
J: no salty popcorn, no watch.
P: have wat.. and more lor..
J: if i eat one sweet popcorn, i'll kill you..
P: ...
J: how?
P: ok lor. salty popcorn, coke, nacho chips lor...
J: more cheese arh.. the nacho chips...
P: ok..
J: we share share the nacho chips but the cheese is all mine..
P: ok lor.....

i always win!! haha!! or i should say he always let me win.. and it feels really happy to have someone treat you like a princess and he always does so, even thorough i was far-to-become his girlfriend.

he always nv fail to introduce his friends to me.. what does this means to me? he is never ashamed of being with me as a friend. it really make me happy becoz at the time i know him was the last time i ever had no confidence in myself.

he treat my friends with respect. i still remember once he came to look for me when i was studying at tp with ... i think is doreen. then the three of us went together for dinner and while waiting for food, he make small talk with my friend. (obviously he wasn't hitting on her, so dun be silly) to me, a friend who respect your friend is really a good friend.

on my 21st birthday, he came to help me, slog like some animal to help me. from preparing food, bbq pit till the final cooking, he is really my best helper the whole night (i would say). came and stay overnight with us the day before worrying that the gers are alone. even i was so rude to him when he came and told him so late might as well dun come, he still stay and help me and nv grumble about it and nv even mention to me how much he help in my so and so event.

one very impt thing that i need to mention him. In one event when ppl accused me of doing something i din, and the ppl ask him why he so "protective" of me, he say he believe that i din do that coz he knows i will not (T_T)....

he will always help me when i need him no matter big or small problem. i was in school and forgot my thumb drive, he was at home coz that time we were different class... and for those who know his house is nearer to school than mine. i called him and he was sleeping

J: ne~ wake up. i need help.
P: ??
J: i forgot my thumb-drive, go my house and get for me leh
P: orh.. OK
J: don't sleep liao la.. my mum will not know what is thumb drive so you go in my room, the thumb drive is plug to my laptop.
P: ok..
J: quick la.. then faster pass to me ASAP... erm.. 12NOON!!
P: orh..

in the above case, his lesson start about 3pm i think and it was 10:30am when i called him.. POOR THING~~ m(T_T)m

me and HIM

1. he is the one of the two guys friends who always know when i'm having PMS w/o fail.
2. my mum's favorite guy friend of mine.
3. we learn para para together from chongkai and became some center-of-attraction in Plaza Singapura.
4. he never fail to give me discount when i go to his baito shop and even his colleagues and friends recognise me and give me the same type of discount.
5. i always like to nag at him, and he will listen and explain. but when he nag at me, i will nag harder at him..
6. poly some ppl say he is like my slave but i nv think in this way. (even my mum scold me say i treat him like slave)
7. he is the one guy friend i have who shops with me and even help me to choose clothes that will compliment and flatter me becoz there is this new cute guy in school.. (haha)
8. he is the best customer service officer i ever met in my life.
9. he is the most filial and homely guy i ever know in my life.
10. once, i cried on his shoulder till his whole sleeve is wet.. i had a good laugh after that

i know you know what you want, but you are just too indecisive in your life. if found the girl, just snatch. don't care what ppl say, coz happiness is yours. go study like what you wanted. since IT is not yours, i will take away your share for you. go into business. that's what you want and what you will really excel.

friends for 6 years, from the time we ran after the last train(not our last train, but ck's) till now we haven seen each other since the last time i reported to you about a new bf and you gave me the omiyage from taiwan. gotta meet up soon before one day you forgotten about me and carry on with your life.

i thank you for being my (slave) friend. and that you never fail to trust me even when the world turn its back ard me. this is what i understand from you. even when everyone(e gers) said that i wasn't suppose to be believed, you stood by my side. i really appreciated.

thanks for being "liyan" in my poly life. but it turn out that you are not "liyan" but amazing another impt character in my life. someone who listens to who i like or dislike, love or hate. never told another person abt my secret, and even try to help create chances for me to be with the guy i like.. how can i ever find another guy friend like you again?

BFF - Liyan

a long friendship. exactly 10 years in 2 Jan 2008.
but it is not the length that matter.. (i do have friends of 16 years, 19 years).

why BFF?

accepts the unreasonable me. everyone has a time that is unreasonable.

ppl who are angry with you at that time and forgets it later are friends.
ppl who angry with you at that time and terminate the friendship afterwards are gomi(thrash).

liyan does not falls in any of this category, but a special one. Different from patrick (my best friend no.2), the way she accepts it is amazing. stands in my point of view, understand how i feel, take my nonsense, and always listen to what i say. She never ask me to put myself in others shoes coz she understand that 我在气头上。

Sometime i wonder if we have a one-way telepathy. Coz she always know when i'm sad, stress, angry etc.. the changing eye doraemon is something that to remind me of the telepathy.

she never say "everyone is also ..... ", though we know that it is fact (like everyone is also stressed, everyone is also ....) and i say that to ppl often too.

She automatically knows when i need her, without needing me to tell her and will always come, even though she dunno if i welcome her (but i know i'll always welcome her)

She is truly happy for me when happy things happen to me. This i know. and i know that not much people are able to attain this.

She accepts my fickle minded since when we were young and listens to my love stories without saying "AGAIN"~~ For all the guys that she knows i like, she never comment anything good or bad about them.

She never say anything bad about any of my friends, classmate, family etc.

She never throw me any cold shoulder despite that i may get very engrossed in something such that i forget everyone's existence.

She always return my missed call　(even it may be nothing impt)

1. we fought. as per what i remember when we were young. shall no mention content. but as we are both civilized people, we fought with words and not action.
2. we belongs to a group name 城人杂志。 now nameless
3. our group have change members before. Only liyan, me, yan hao and peiyun are from the original 1st group. Chang Pin is the additional new born baby to our big family. We lost 2 guys before the new born baby.
4. in sec 1 and sec 2, i used to call her everyday.
5. we once went to a fire-station thinking that it is a museum. and on the same day, we lost our way and went to ROM.
6. we have different eating habits. i eat super-spicy, but she eat either mild or nothing. i like vinegar but she don't. i drink soya-milk, but she doesn't. YET we go out for meals often.
7. we know each other family members since secondary school.
8. we beat (i think) chang pin and pei yun in a game or arcade basketball.
9. our group last time favorite activity is bowling.
10. we (i think） never watch a movie together before.
11. she is the 1st person, to know of my current relationship.
12. She can recognized my family members when she see them elsewhere.

Don't feel too shocked to see this post and don't call me to scold or anything like that. Sometimes it is so amazing that after one big round we meet back together at NUS even after some separation in between. but it was probably the separation that make our friendship stronger. maybe separation is a strong word.

you are always the 1st person who i share my happiness becoz i know that you never fail to be happy for me. i'm really blessed to have you as my BFF and i really can imagine us talking about kids or house etc 10 or 20 years later.

thanks for sharing about the importance of investment and insurance despite that you dunno if i will reject it. you make me know the importance of making my money grow and secure my future. you are always there for discussion, be it a happy or sad issue, or money matters.

thanks liyan. we know we have completed 10 years friendship, and we are looking forward to the next 10 years. BYE BYE~~ (dunno how to end it)

why are some ppl BFF.

from today onwards i will list down ppl who are my BFF, or close to BFF or ppl who are not BFF but i appreciate. i will start with yan. maybe the actual names are mention, maybe not. but i will explain why.

why in terms of why they are impt to me.

perhaps this is the best way that i can show my appreciation.
