sounds weird for christmas?

nope, it is never weird for me... coz i slept @ 6am. haha
came back from my sis house at abt 5am.

it was a whole night of partying..
everything was great, except that i broke 3 glasses... haha

the food was great. sis's cooking has greating improve since when i was little and she was young. now her curry chicken is so yummy that she can consider to open a store liao~ hee~ then got yummy fried rice, very tonic soup~

on top of that, got sweden meatball from ikea, and i ate with tons of meatball sauce, got very fresh sashimi that eat till i siao, got lots of wine and vodka that my sis-in-law drink till she "mambo", while no diff to me... heehee~

durian logcake which is also very yummy, but i could eat too much coz i drank too much alcohol...

.....still got lots of food, but lazy to list........

when the clock hits 12, cinderalla (eldest bro, sis-in-law, rong and dad) have to go back coz magic will go off soon~ then my other 2 nieces and 2nd sis-in-law slept, while the rest of whoever is there play mahjong except me. there is freaking many show to watch(coz got cable), but i dun wanna see "wu zong xian", boring~ so i dig through the vcd and watch sex and the city. it is so freaking funny~~~ haha... very nice show.. =) i bet it is a comedy *wink*

with so much alcohol, u can definitely understand why i can slp all the way till now~

2) ngee ann city coffee bean

i was trying to get a bdae present for daphne. shufen and i decided to get daphne a x'mas limited edition card. so we went there, since it is the nearest branch then. the manager told me there is no stock, so i request for him to check for me the paragon branch. he "called" up paragon branch and told dun have. so i ask if he can check for me lido and centrepoint. he "called" and told me dun have either. well, he say that in orchard area only got these few branches. when i request to have the normal one. he say there isn't any left. feeling sorry for getting him make so much call, i request that he give me the numbers instead, and i shall do the calling. in the end, he 1st cannot find the brochure to give me, 2nd, told me that other branches also dun have. Shufen and i walk to paragon branch and ask. THEY HAVE THE X'MAS CARD! they told me that ngee ann city branch DID NOT CALL THEM. i tell you, i definitely will complain to coffee bean utill he eat shit.

next semester module

planning next semester module is killing me...
i ended up planning for the next few semester too.
reason? coz cs modules are too messy.

originally, i wanted to take cs1102, ma1505, cs1231, ss(employee management) and a gem.

problem
1) ma1505 exam date and time clashes with cs1102. just my luck, i have to take maths the following sem then
2) employee management dun seem fun to me and worse still it scared me off with some business concept. so i switch to chinese business in singapore and beyond(ssa2203) which is more fun(i think). but then the paper is on 22apr AM and the afternoon before i have cs1102 exam. well, at least it is better than my mkt and lsm exam this year.
3) i found out that i can take cs2106 and ma1101R. but the exam time for the 2 modules appear to be like my mkt and lsm. i have to give up one. so maths has to go. cs modules is more impt.
4) which gem to choose. originally i thought of taking understanding the universe with kkg, but i realise that it is not offered this coming sem. then thanks to miyabi, i realise that heavenly mathematics is also quite interesting(at least i think it is better than science of music).

so for the time being
my next semester modules will be

CS1102 Data Structure and Algorithm
CS1231 Discrete Structures
CS2106 Operating System
SSA2203 Chinese Business in Singapore and Beyond

and of coz, this only applies if i clear my this sem modules. =)

a night of k-boxing

phew~ just reach home by cab share with suchun.

the night of k-boxing make us very tired. was it because of the vodka, whisky and beer's fault, or the over-singing? we practically sang for (ard) 6 hours. from chinese to japanese to english... then in the end we got so so so tired liao. i got a feeling kkg might have some dry-washing(or dry-bathing) before they sleep. haha

now my stomach feels much better than just now. friends who know me well knows that i dun get drunk. but when too much alcohol goes to my stomach, i will experience some uncomfort. luckily, there is "bao" @ 7-11, so i grab one before coming back.

when i reach home, i saw a piece of red broken plastic on my table and i wonder what it is. it is actually a broken part from my extension power plug's switch button. and worse still, the one that is broken is connected to my notebook. that's why i faster switch on to see if it is working, and thus i am typing this blog. i suspect that it might be due to thunder, as what my dad mention that there is thunder ard 9pm. so scary. next time must plug all my wire out before i go out liao... this time is a blessing, next time might not be so lucky.

anyway, i feel that the drinking is not enough, so i really feel like continue drinking. but i just realise house got no drink except martell. sian... dun like that taste. now getting dunno if i should slp or play some games... haha.. meeting them in another 9 hours times...

how long ago was it when i last felt peaceful?

so peaceful that i can sit and read ppl's blog and dun feel any stress?
today.
but i think stress will still come eventually when result is released.... heck care liao

afterall, i did my best, i never slack, study hard etc etc... what else can i do..

now my room is clean and neat. i'm suprised that i have the energy to pack it till so nice coz i was like so tired from the non-stop studying as well as the post-exam shopping.
Lunch @ kushin-bo. kkg, wanna go together one of these days? the tempura and fried stuff might not be as good as ikoi, but they have the best japanese curry in sg, better than the city hall side one. their oden is also nicer. most importantly, they have sashimi(our favourite). can consider going after you come back from taipei.

we(shufen, daphne and i) shop from suntec, to raffles city, to plaza singapura. i din buy much things, yet still spent quite some money.
bought a new wallet, and some i also cannot remember. Most important, i bought hinokio. yeah!!

very very sian now... at this kind of time, also dunno what to do.

but the next few days will be relatively busy.

wednesday(noon): hair-doing @ e-lynn shop. though have not decide what to do. wanna watch sneak preview of chicken little?
thursday(rest & relax): rest funds @ home. lots of vcd needa to be completed
friday(morning till night): ear-check-up for my mum @ 2 place. might have chance to eat ding tai fen for lunch then.
saturday(from noon or evening): meet up with patrick(my best friend), so long haven seen him liao, confirm botak, the rest i dunno.
sunday(rest & relax): assuming my niece might come.

mon, tue -> currently free. nigel, which day you wanna meet me?
wed(noon): meet up with grace. so happy for her that she got in sim(i think).
thurs(rest & relax): clear vcd, esp if i borrow any from kkg before they go taipei
friday(noon): retail therapy with liyan

so what does it mean?

i am confused..

blur blur morning

it was a night full of mugging. i am now currently at liyan's hostel, where i mug throughout last night. reaching her place at approx 7pm, where we watch show, eat, bathe, explore, follow by a full night of study. the study was kinda efficient, and we were also quite surprised that we can tahan all the way from 10:30pm to 5am.

at 5am, the 2 silly us actually walk all the way from pgp to kent ridge terminal to eat prata, only to find out that the 24-hour operating shops are close for 3 days due to hari raya puasa. self-declare holiday. In the end, we got to eat some sandwich and bought a cup of nissin noodles each.

From the 7-11, we walk towards central library where we sit and eat our noodles after using the hot water dispenser outside the library. we sit all the way till there is sunlight which is about 6:45am. Then we walk toward yusof ishak hall direction with the intention to walk back to pgp.

However, we cannot take it anymore when we reach university hall. So we decide to wait for the 1st A2 bus. and we wait and wait and wait while being bite and bite and bite by weird bugs from no where. Back at pgp was like 7:50am, where we take a quick shower, dry our hairs, then threw ourselves into some sleep. But then, due to the tiredness we are in, we decided to change tonight's gathering plan. So we msg yanhao and changpin about it. Then their phone call wake us and we couldn't get back to sleep now, so i blog now lor..

the moral of this incident is, when you mug till 5am, dun be an idiot to walk so far to get food. call 6777-3777 for delivery!!haha

please teach me how to get the mood... i just couldn't. so this week is really wasted... no mood for anything at all..

went for teppanyaki and some shopping just now, then came back. suppose to get myself out of home to study, but just no mood, abit tired and headache now.

practical exam result is out. i got full marks for task 1, but not task 2, so got 91.6 marks in total.

i feel like as if i am going to get a heatstroke soon. then the bus is so stuffy if no one bother to the window. When i open my window to get some air in, i am also getting lots of dust and dirt and i got a feeling i will get asthma soon. worse still, i have an extremely senstive nose that will sneeze and sneeze when in contact with dust. Then my dad will thought i am sick and will start giving me alot of his potions.. i am fainting...

on a rainy day:
when the rain starts pouring, everyone including me start closing all the windows, then the bus starts getting warm and lack of OXYGEN. If you happen to be on the 2nd level of a double decker bus, you might even fell when walking down the stair due to the wet floor, coz no one close the window when the rain start pouring. haiz...

A Morning Surprise

I have always been wondering how would/should i react if i ever meet yc again, since we have split in an awful manner few years back. I have been wondering about this since the day i know he will be in SOC next year.

I saw him today.

On the bus 93, on the way to school. He was on his way to AH. Quoted from Noel, "pleasantly surprise" to see him. We had some small talk, about school, old mates, army etc. I was glad that there was no ES. I wanted to tell him sorry, but hold back in afraid of ES. Plus, he seems to have forgive me either. =)

However, the talk on the bus had indirectly disrupted my thoughts. I was thinking of 2 people before i saw him. One is yamapi, the other is ***. As a result, i postpone my thoughts to after maths lesson, during the 4 hour break, which also took away my precious revision time.

Then, i started to wonder how would/should i react if i see *** again. Recently, i got back in contact with him, thanks to my "daughter and son-in-law", who accidentally triggered this. His life seems fine but has been in a different direction as me. But of coz, how many guys could be in the same direction as me? they dun need go army meh?...

In love revolution, they believe that, ppl who are good in studies will be bad in another area. How true. but then, i am getting bad in my studies, so will i be good in this area then?

Few weeks more to exam, and i can't believe that i'm affected by all this. Really wonder how i manage to clear poly while enjoying life and slacking around. haizz...

P.S.: how should i react if i ever see yamapi?

yesterday~

early in the morning, i woke up feeling very weird. Yes, it is a weird day, CS1101 PE. Haiz~

my mood has been very bad since thurs... 1st time in my life i get so nervous over a programming test, in the past, i dun even give it a damn, now, things are so different.. haiz..

before the paper, i hang out with shufen and her friends for a while before we enter the place i call hell... i love studying, love learning, getting to hate exam. In poly, i love everything from test, quiz, homework, project to exams. Now? haiz~~

after the paper, i went into some form of depression. But then as i was with shufen on the bus, couldn't show much of my depression. In the end, i keep the depression to myself, and ended up swallowing it. Meet kkg etc, but din eat sizzler in the end, hopefully next week can eat... need a good meal to calm my depression.

2) go out with patrick

but then, with such mood, i dun think i can party at all. then if patrick were to meet me after my PE, i think he will kana i bully(till very jialat), so i think better dun la..

A night of story telling

After talking to mayu abt the poly thingy, i feel abit better... during the time that i talk(or type) to her, i was feeling abit sad sad... when talking abt ***, i can't help but wanna cry.. maybe i really regreted... but then, it has all become history... i know i will never get him back, so no point crying over it.

Then these few days, i like completely no mood to study at all.. very easily irritated too... Did not do much at all.. For example, yesterday while waiting for kkg to finish lesson, i only manage to do 2 qns of maths lor... think i really very jialat liao...

worse still, there is a test this saturday... haiz..

recently, i found out that many of my poly mates have got married... haha... all so fast.. think i will definitely be one of the laggers esp i dun even know when will i finish my degree, nevertheless master lor... haha..

again, i type in SOC lab... i realise that, the morning bus make me think more and make me more vocal, therefore i have more things to type in the morning. usually when i reach home after sch, i really dunno what to say, type on to here...

It gets on my nerves when...

1) ppl think i am born smart -> hey~ do you know what i am doing when all of you is playing your computer game, chatting on the phone, watching vcd and dvd, shopping etc. I AM STUDYING!!!

2) ppl think i know java b4 hand -> FYI, i had less than 0.1% of java knowledge and it is in a different platform lor.. that is mobile leh... not application!!

3) ppl think i am born good in programming -> do you know how freaking long i spent in poly to learn about the stupid array and all the loops and etc? i din even manage to understand it even after i finish "IT1733 C Programming". I took a longer time to learn lor!!

4) ppl think poly students will gain advantage in SOC -> when you think we have programming background, i will have to say that you have Maths C Background(can do maths better), economics background(can analysis better) and GP background(can write your essay better)

5) ppl think i am lucky in studies -> I AM NEVER LUCKY IN STUDIES. If i am, then i would have pass with flying colors without the need to study, and studying abit will give me full marks, but did i? no i didn't, my hard work for cs1104 has not paid off at all.. yucks..

hai~ currently at SOC level 8 typing this blog.
Have a english lesson @ 10am and i badly refuse to go. Coz very tired... And i wish to read finish my mkt ch 11... sianzzz
now say dun wanna go also no use liao.. nv bring anything to read.. blah...

yesterday went to kkg's house to cook. if not for the extreme need for my own bed, i think i would have stay at their house for 1 week. anyway i dun mind.. haha..
kkg's parents has went overseas and their maid and bobby is away at their cousin house, leaving the 2 of them(alone) at home...

the cooking has lots of problems
1. should not boiled the potatoes that is used to cook sambal chicken
2. should have boiled the carrot 1st.
3. should not make the salad 1st
4. should have use the bigger "pan" to fried rice.

however, we still have a meal to eat, so not that bad la...

eventually my main aim is still to watch BR, later then give a general review..

this morning i laze around and went out of house like half an hour later than i usually did, but i actually reach school 15mins earlier than i usually did.. ha..
then meet kim yoong, but i was too tired to talk about anything except when is the maths retest(coz we do not need to attend then).

regarding the new informative website: i have already decided the URL and register it but then still cannot announce, as the website is very empty now.. might have to wait for a month, or less than a month, or more than a month.

to sum up on my result for this mid-term test from the best to the worse
maths: 48/50 => 96/100
cs1101: 26/30 => 87/100
lsm1302: 40/50 => 80/100
cs1104: 18/25 => 72/100

so in the end, genes is not my worst module, but cs1104 is...

gotta go.. running late for english... hai~

i got 48/50, the 2 marks deducted is due to 2 careless mistake.
hai~ if only i had not made that. Then i would have got full marks

Genes and Society result is not ready yet, i have a strong feeling that i will fail that paper. hai~ so must work harder on the essay question.

i pass cs1104... with slight luck, i guess... though the grade was poorer than expected, but i think i should be satisifed, or i am satisfied.
among the group of people who i know and came from poly and is taking cs1104, only daphne and i pass. Other than that, kester is the only one who i know is from jc and also pass. so generally not bad.

i got 18/25 (quite a big dissapointment for something you know very well, and also work very hard), convert to the 30% is 21.6. assume that i got full marks for assignments and attendance, i need approx < 80/100 for the final exam to get the total score of 80+ marks... so maybe the situation is not that bad..

However!! there are quite a number of people who get higher than 20marks(upon 25), why am i not one of them!!! *sob*

now, i know i will fail 2 tests out of 4 mid-term tests.

End of Mid-term test

Today finally had the last paper

Before i review on the last 2 paper, i will like to re-announce that anego has quit school.

For those who dunno who is anego, anego is ada. We call her anego coz she is the oldest among us. (anego = big sis) On thursday morning, i called her and she was still ok, preparing for maths test and then after maths test i call her, she told me she has, or going to quit school. !!!!!
i was like.. huh... then she says that she could take the stress anymore therefore she decides to quit.

Seriously, i did tell her to think properly, but i do not encourage her(quit or not to quit). Coz it is her life, so she should make the decision. If she thinks there is no happiness in uni, then she should choose what she like.

Her quiting affect the 3 of us(me, daphne, kim yoong) greatly. Starting, the 3 of us(i assume) die die also wanna come uni coz we know that diploma will not survive long. and plus, not much ppl got this chance, so we wanna make good use of this oppurtunity to further our studies. Anego's quiting make us ponder:
1) why are we studying so hard?
2) is this what i really want?
3) do i want a degree or a honour degree?

whenever during exam or test, we would think
"anego do not have to suffer what we go through now"

then worse, the stupid TV was showing about a successful man who did not have any university education.

CoffeeBean

I have been studying @ coffee bean for the past 2 days due to inability to concentrate at home. Environment is pretty good, but temperature is freezing cold. The 1st day was a rainy day, so i blame the weather for the cold that i suffered. I learn my lesson adn brought a jacket on the second day only to find that it is JUST AS COLD!! I really (almost) froze to death and couldn't drink my favourite ice-blended and had to switch to hot-drinks instead =(

I had breakfast and lunch @ CoffeeBean, my thoughts:
1) Service was good, (most of) the staff were very thoughtful. One of them, Kelly, had offer to refil my drinks (for free) as well as providing me with hot/warm plain water when i was freezing.
2) Food was relatively good, except for scrambled eggs... i somehow don't like. Loe the smoked salmon and salad. Delicious and low caed. I could have lost weight if lunch is always @ CoffeeBean, but it also mean i will lose money at the same time.
3) Coffee is not the only yummy drink @ CoffeeBean. The tea is marvellous. Sweet aroma improve my tense mood after a sip.
4) Discount is available with CoffeeBean prepaid card. I had quite some discount, approx 10% to 25%. Every $20 TopUp of the card will give you approx $2 to $4 additional credit. Free $5 vouncher with every card purchase. Points earned with each purchase can be used to redempt for other items. Discount is available with the card for certain purchase. In conclusion, coffee bean is definitely a good place to study regardless of location, food or ambience. Most importantly, it has coffee to perk you up, as well as cakes to reward yourself. However, you might want to invest in some thick winter clothes (^o^)

well, it is to celebrate liyan's birthday~ early celebration.. i'm glad that liyan like her present and you can take a look at her blog about it.. though she never list in details... TONS OF STUFF LA.... Chang pin says it is like NDP bag... stupid NS man..

the conversation between us was.... i think i am the one talking all the time ba....
if you think i dun give them a chance.. NAh... you should be there... once i stop, there will be slient for about 30 seconds or even longer... i hate that...

we talk from crap to serious thing about study and work, and i realise is either i am lucky that i have plans and good plans for future as well as knowing what i wanna do OR i am just being too idealistic... as for crap.. we seem to have different frequency~ haiz

at times, (not in this case only, including other friends) i wonder why should we gather, and why do we gather? for the sake of what? i really dunno... to keep the bond?

usually you might find it more comfortable to be with "A", while not the rest, but you still wish to see "B" and "C". but when there is no meaning in meeting up, there is really no meaning...

From Poly to Uni

All the while i did not blog much since school start, becoz my mind always went blank infront of my com. To prevent this problem, i wrote my blog in my book today, and going to transfer it now...

"Recently, i feel that i'm glad that i took poly route instead of JC route (AGAIN). As many of you might know, my English sux, so i doubt i can clear my A level if JC was my choice. But recently, i found a even more meaningful reason to support this decision [poly not JC].

i saw many many ppl with no programing background struggling in SOC (most of them are from JC). Some had very very dark eye ring, some broke down, while some had spent every single time they had to do programming, and never study for other modules, nor have any other activities.

Having background really matters a lot, coz university pace is freaking fact and i even need to revise what is taught though everything (in programming area only) seem so simple. Pace is fast, if you are slow, no matter how much background you have, or how good you were previously, you will still fail. Can imagine how horrible it is for ppl with no background...

Another example of background, number systems and codes in CS1104. At first, i thought that almost everyone should find it simple as it is like maths. However, i found out from mayu that base/radic is not taught in Maths C, though maybe in F maths. I do not know if you need F maths to be in computing, but assume that ppl do not have either computing background or F maths knowledge, what a torture it could be. AT times, i start to wonder why my poly lecturers says that we will lose out to JC students when we go uni. If it is becoz of maths, i can tell you that NUS is very afraid that our maths sux, so they provide quite some mathematics revision for poly students. If it is about analytical and logical thinking, i think we have some of these skills and we still can improve on these skills in uni.

In conclusion, i really must thank NYP... haha... that's why i am writing a write-up for them about me in NYP and NUS for them to use it to promote to to-be-poly-student... "

Haven been blogging for a week since kkg's birthday msg and kkg has been "nagging" that my blog is going to be like suchun's blog, decaying... LOL

Last saturday went to "celebrate" kkg's belated birthday at "ding tai feng'... it was a real short "event" where we shop for 1 hour, then eat at ding tai feng, then hang out or wasting time around orchard doing nothing, follow by buying some disc, then go back. On the way back, i alighted at toa payoh with kkg, and we ended up doing some shopping, drinking and sitting like some ojisan... and talking about H.. haha

This week : as usual, everyday go school, then come home... boring... this week i have been abit slack on my work, but who cares... next week is term break, going to make good use of it to work hard. These 2 days busy planning liyan's birthday present... her present must plan de... LOL..
got theme, got sub-theme... still thinking if i should do some painting at the same time... hmm..

Gathering with "city-people" : THE chang pin arh.. dunno if he knows how to organise an outing.. till now still no news... haiz.. i dun care liao... dun wanna go ... =p

1st, went for subject pool today, was not suppose to talk much about it, but then i wanna mention few points.
1) was given a advertisement to see and i feel that it is abit disgusting.. of coz, if the 2 characters are from johhny's jimusho, things will be different
2) the guy from 2nd subject pool looks pretty cute, but, he got that noel's slang~ haiz

got to know this person(last week).. erm.. forget his name.. from SOC too, and coincidently taking MKT1001, CS1101 and CS1104, and even got into same tutorial for both mkt1003 as well as cs1104. Must remember to memorise his name next time.. Saw him at subject pool today and got a chat partner b4 the subject pool starts

mayu, miyabi, i cannot reveal too much details about it here, coz the parents do not wish me to recommend anyone to teach the boy, either i teach, or they will continue with their current tutor. and even if i wanna teach, the current tutor will still stay(though he or she will be paid lower than me, of coz..). Price is secret, in case many people (who i dun like) come knocking at my door for the job.

6th, pride
ya, talking about the one shown on tv today. BUT I reach home at 9pm lor.. anyway, i have my ways to watch it afterall. It is well.... pretty good, but i think the high viewership is only because of kimura and not becoz of the show itself. try asking ayumi's bf to act in this, and the viewership will decrease by 50%. [Tomoya, gomen ne~ ]

Life in uni is a weird thing to me...

what i learn in poly in 1 semester is covered in 2 weeks in uni.

pace very fast... i am trying hard to catch up.

have been catching up with my readings.... for some modules

yet haven start for genes and society...

i just did a hair treatment yesterday @ e-lynn shop. she "reported" to me that steph went to her shop...
steph, i got spy everywhere.. LOL

badly need a hair treatment after rebonding esp i have no time to take care of it myself, so let the pro do for me ba~

needa save up money so that can do treatment once every 45 days. LOL

end here.. got lots of reading, as well as programming to do.. will blog a good one, hopefully next week, else will have to wait till after term test...

a general idea of how much have i manage to catch up

now is week 4

CS1101 - finish all relevant reading for week 1 to 3 and lab work that must be submitted this week. will read my reading for week 4 during the lecture. afterall, what he say is generally easy to understand, esp when we have the background of OOP as well as OOAD

CS1104 - one of my main worries, but luckily, i have manage to complete my readings for week 1. Will be trying my best to read week 2 and 3 reading by end of this week, but might not seem to be very true as i intend to start on Genes and Society this weekend. so maybe should aim for week 2 readings only.

LSM1302 - still haven start on anything, but.. week 1 got no reading.. week 2 and 3 leh.. i just needa read 2 chapters from the textbook and according to the lecturer, if i dun understand what the heck she is talking about, reading the book is just as good.. so shall read the book then.. maybe by later time, should study this module the same method as CS1101

MA1301 - catching up very very well.. afterall it is maths and i really enjoy doing maths questions and at times, i wonder why is there so little for us to do..

MKT1003 - marketing is generally easy to read, but the problem is that the companies that they talk about is in america.. not singapore.. so at times i dunno wat business is the company in.. but then.. i manage to complete my readings for week 1 and week 2 and i am going to complete my this week tutorial right after this blog.

ET1000 - generally no reading , no homework, so no much problem.. there will be a mini-presentation on week 6 and is a pair project. However, i have completed it last week. so no problem till the essay question is out coz it means more work to be done..

in conclusion... catching up liao.. hope to speed up abit..

when i am in poly, everyone like to jasmine this jasmine that.. saying that i am so good.. but actually how good can i be? i am no good at all.. but people say that for the sake of wat? you should know better.. other than the some people that they really mean what they say, the rest are all bluffing me.. so much for friends...

eventually, i realised that, i have only made a few friends in poly, and actually couple more in secondary..

I ended up with generally this friends only.. which make me a very sad person afterall

1. zhiwei - actually he is not my friend, my god-kor, taking care of my academic since sec sch till poly and even wanna take care of my academic in uni.. very very nice kor, who nv fail to remember my birthday, my mum can remember his name better than liyan's.. hee

2. liyan - my female best friend, who always listen to every single crap, happy and sad thing. Never fail to do weird things with me as well as caring for me at all times. She even willing to take me in her hostel, despite that PGP is such a freaking small place.. from close to far to close to far and back to close again now in NUS.. someone who i definitely can foresee me in good relationship 10 years down the road...

3. patrick - my male best friend, a typical SNAG, who always very nice to everyone regardless of guy or ger.. always lend me his sleeve when i cry and get a wet sleeve in return.. though he forget my 20th birthday, but he insist he nv forget, just that he is in jungle, cannot sms or call me, so i believe him and forgive him.. LOL..

4. kkg - will discuss abt individual later. as a whole, company me to this and that regardless of distance, help me immediately when i get into a panic situation, including offering to company me to study when i get too stressed up over studies matter.. my best ktv company, my private tester for cooking, my birthday present planner, my shopping-mates, my maple-mates.. erm.. what else have we done(or not done) before?
4a. adeline - the "kk" in the kkg, my personal NUS helpdesk. my NUS timetable planner, my module "bidder" and almost my tutorial "balloter". i used to be so scared of her when i 1st know her and somehow i dunno how we have come to the helpdesk-relationship. My No.1 SOS(Strawberry on Shortcake?) in NUS.. *almost my kaleshi during one hair-maintenance session, and my musume during the zaizen-era.. LOL*
4b. amelia - the "g" in kkg, my ex-son-in-law.. now still in good relation, despite the official "break-up" with suchun.. LOL.. always sitting in one corner during ktv time, waiting for adeline and i to "delicate" songs for her to sing... Next time you pay more ba!!! got to be close since hana yori dango(i know is 'go' not 'jo' liao), and always tell me stories of johnny's jimusho, follow by skipping OI lesson together to go kino, tower records, hmv etc..

5. suchun - my dear daughter.. always call me ma, but forget to wish me happy mother day.. so unfilial.. LOL.. but now she already attached liao, so going to be from bad to worse, as they always say that "got wings can fly liao"... hai~ my very "caring" daughter and i know that next time if i got no money she can support me coz she is going to be an accountant and accountant are usually rich.. LOL

6. rachmat - a really good ah bang that always care for me in poly.. though at times like to say bad things about makoto (which till now i still refused to forgive him), he is still a very very nice ah bang.. regardless of him going back to indo, or further his studies in ny or staying in sg, i sincerely hope that he can still be my ah bang besia in poly..

7. hisham - ah bang no 2. Both my ah bang in poly nv fail to remember my birthday, which is very touching coz generally most of my poly friends forgot.. LOL.. though i remember theirs.. in poly, hisham is one of my best study-pals, especially that he is so-smart.. after poly, he will msg me in msn often to ask about how am i, and ask me not to be too stress in uni, ask me relax and so and so fore.. once day he might be in singapore idol.. he will never lose to taufik... i know..

8. sasi - my "lousy" yet good advicer in erm... secret.. LOL.. seriously speaking, despite that i always make fun of him, he is the only one in D1 who i eventually keep in close contact.. very nice friend who sometimes contradict himself and i also get confuse.. though what he wish for did not happen, but if something similiar happen, he will definitely be in the top 10 person to know it..

9. stephanie - a ger who come out of no-where.. not really no-where, but we weren't in any of the same school.. and yet we still manage to be friends, and quite good friends.. suprisingly(but like what mr koh say, pleasantly surprise). Really gonna say thumbs up for her!! i mean for being my dear friend.. lol..

10. peiyun - she must be real angry if she see this list and she appear so low.. sorry my dear ger.. but then.. who ask you always missing in action... =p dun wanna say anything abt her, coz too much to say liao.. and i scared i will relate all the way to secondary school where i pair yan hao and her up..

11. yan hao chang pin - though i know that tortoise aka turtle 1st, but like what chang pin say.. he happily forget my birthday.. so chang pin, you are higher on my list.. chang pin, my chatting partner in the mid of wee hours, and including his mum, at that time, who also like to chat with me.. LOL.. such things no longer happen since we started having hp.. my movie partner when he is out of camp, else will be patrick liao.. but got difference, when with chang pin, he choose the movie, when with patrick, I choose the movie.. LOL.. appreciate this fact ba, chang pin~~

12. yan hao delphine - my buddy in sec 3, sec 4, always sick during some time in a month, and always make us worry, even when in poly.. now finally grad, working, and probably getting married soon.. LOL.. the only sad thing about her is that till now we still never see her bf lor.. we even see suchun liao, and i bet got chance surely can see steph de.. why not yours!!! i badly missed her and wish to see her soon, sorry for today, but really overloaded..

13. yan hao doreen - a very sweet ger who is talented in a different aspect from me, a very pretty ger, but yet seem not to know that she is pretty.. haiz.. she is one that is definitely worth to be in this list.. doreen, 13 is my lucky number.. i delicate to you!!

14. yan hao - i almost want to put you as the last person!! he is the monitor aka computer screen during sec 2 (is he? i forgot), my project partner, the rich-guy-who-act-poor-but-always-wearing-freaking-expensive-clothes-that-look-like-from-pasai-malam. my listener in sec 3, especially during the sec 3 chalet.. maybe he forgotten, but i still remember what happen then.. =X

15. nigel - i just receive a sms from him.. sweet at times, but sometime feel like bashing him up.. once always make fun of me.. till i slap him so hard.. LOL.. of coz not on face la.. who dare to slap on a face that it like toufu... all the girls like to ask him why is his face so nice, free of pimples, blackheads etc, and he will always reply, "i used shokobuzu"...

16. xiong - it is so weird for him to be in this list, but! he is probably he only one who remember to ask me to go to hazel cruize gig and the only one who remember that i am once hazel cruize's manager... everyone else had probably forgotten..

So if excluding xiong, i only have 16 tomotachi in my life... imagine that last year, when sasi and i discuss about my 21st birthday guest list, i had a list of 200 over people, excluding my family and relatives... so much for friends... afterall, those who always say jasmine this jasmine that, has all completely forgotten about me and proceed to a next stage of their life.. yet, i wish them the best.. since i still have 15 of you..

Add-On Stress and scribbling

Talking about Add-On Stress.... When did i ever start studying in Week 3 in poly? i always only study during the study week before exam and test. and now.. i have been reading my CS1101 Textbook like a bible... But, neglecting my other modules at the same time.. So double stress.. anyway, i have been studying freaking hard for the past 3 days and i believe that i need a good break tml.

Scribbling.. actually have tons of things to write, but i am lazy to classify them, so bear with it

1. Project Superstar ~ Please do not say that i am cold-blooded or anything like that. Please do not attempt to kill me when you see me in NUS or in town. I had to say this, is Singapore really going to have a Superstar that..... you get what i mean right. I don't mean to say he is no good, though that i have never watch it before. But tell me the truth, how many of you out there have been voting for him coz you think that he is the superstar of your heart? If you think he can sing very very well.. Oh please... many people can sing better.. and they look better... Search your heart, if he is not ..... will you still vote for him, support him? Be fair. I sincerely do not think that he can/should/deserve to be a superstar. If he is the winner of this "project", i am going to boycott Channel U.

2. VCDs ~ TS has sale. Price range between $12 to $16 for a japanese drama.. Get it at Toa Payoh Hub. I got some today.

3. Ink ~ My printer runs out of ink again... And now is only week 3!!!

4. Printing in SOC Lab ~ i wonder if printing for 5cents per page is worth the money... How i wish i can go back to NYP to print.. anyone can print my notes for me for FREE?

5. CS1101X Lab ~ It is getting on my nerves!!!!!

6. Why is there endless chapters for me to read?

1. not enough sleep for quite a few days

Last night couldn't even do my lab assignments, coz too sick to do it.. Now feeling better and typing this in SOC Lab 8 while waiting for my 10 o'clock lesson.

kkg, think about what you wanna do this thursday... I am ok with movie, ktv, shopping, anything w/o stress... and for saturday.. delphine seems to be going for a spa pedicure and there MIGHT be a chance to go for music festa right? so we confirm again later, after i ask our dear ms toh...

10 days in NUS is kinda eh.. i felt that i never study anything, very slack, yet, not enough rest and stress at the same time.. freaking irritating... think going to hug my pillow and slp slp slp on friday night, sat morning and sat afternoon, till it is time to meet kkg to go for japanese summer festival. Had ask Geraldine to go, and i hope she will go~

About my new phone, generally nothing much to say... quite pleased with it. and it looks kinda nice too. Only problem is that i am too used to nokia's phone that had sightly problem with smsing ppl... slowly ba~

My (school) bag is getting heavier and heavier and i wonder if it is becoz of the bag or the things i put it. If really cannot take it, then might change to the bag that kkg and i saw today.

Traveling to school is kinda irritating when
1. the journey takes about 1hour +++
2. need to change bus
3. always very packed
4. have to walk very far to take the bus, and have to walk a long distance after alighting.
5. you have to "enjoy" the journey alone
6. got motion sickness, cannot ready anything at all.
7. sleepy(in the morning) and hungry (in the evening)
8. long waiting time for bus
9. needa cross over-head bridge, troublesome to wear heels (but i LOVE heels)
10. non-aircon bus

Shall post about the difference between NYP(EI) lecture and NUS(General) lecture, if i have the time.

Finally a peaceful mind

I have been freaking stress this week,

1) Monday, wasn't able to ballot for my desire tutorial slot
2) Wednesday, ballot wrongly, despite getting my "rank no 1" tutorial slot, but it is absolutely unsuitable for my timetable
3) Wednesday, kim yoong called me, telling me that daphne's senior said that NO NEED take UE.
4) Thursday, no swap nor vacanies available for me to add from 9am all the way to 11:30am..

In the last min, before i post this, yes, i got a proper time-slot, despite that it might been i cannot go out with kkg to watch movie on monday morning, but at least, it is what i wanted. And not so much problem now liao..

Story Outline:

Naoko(Shinohara Ryoko) is a 32 years old woman, who is trusted by many female employees in her company. Everyone(including her boss) always looked for her when they are in trouble, or have problems. However, she does have a problem too. She has passed the eligible age to get marry and she badly wants too. But, her expectation of a guy is erm.. to a certain standard. One day she meet Zawaki(Kato Masaya) on the subway when he rescue her from a drunker. She knews that he is the man for her, till she saw the wedding band on his finger. She give up. Coz she will never be a third-party. Worse still, Zawaki is the husband of a friend who previously worked in the same company, Eriko. At the same time, Kurozawa(Akanishi Jin) fall in love with Naoko, woo her, but yet not ready to get married, coz he is only 22 years old. Naoko went for a match-making session and decided to get married with the "elite". Ending? i haven watch till the end.

What so interesting about this show?

The funniest part is showing what the character is thinking. Especially that they might say something different from what they think. Jin's character is funny, cute and at the same time... no guts.. But yet, do lots of things that..erm.. He do not want Naoko to get married, but yet do not have the intention to marry her.. Selfish guy.. yet.. so adorable..

A New Beginning~

Tml will be the 1st day of school... Excited? Well.. dunno.. Maybe ba~
But at the same time, worry.. Coz since Oct 2004, i haven been studying(After Oct04, project phrase follow by attachment), so it has been a whole 10 months that i haven touch lecture notes etc..

Anyway, in this semester, i will be taking a total of 6 modules.

CS1101 Programming Methodology
This module introduces the fundamental concepts of programming from an object-oriented perspective, and is perceived as the first and foremost introductory course to computing. It is the first of a two part series on introductory programming, which also includes CS1102. Topics covered include: overview of programming languages and compilation process, objects, classes, methods, fundamental programming constructs (variables, types, expressions, assignments, message passing, etc.), fundamental data structures: arrays, string, basic recursion, I/O, exception handling, use of APIs and class libraries, subclassing and inheritance, debugging and testing. Module activities include lectures, recitation, tutorial and laboratory exercises.

CS1104 Computer Organisation
This module aims to familiarise students with the fundamental building blocks of computer systems, and to give a better understanding on how a high-level language program actually works inside a computer. Topics covered include: Number systems and codes; Boolean algebra and logic gates; simplification of Boolean functions; Karnaugh maps; combinational circuits; basic organisation and von Neumann model; memory hierarchy (main memory; cache; virtual memory); input/output; CPU structure and organisation (control unit; instruction fetch, decode, and execution); assembly language programming (instruction formats; types of operations; addressing modes).

ET1000 English for Academic Purpose
The course emphasizes language proficiency in the areas of reading, writing and speaking. It comprises grammar review, text editing, reading comprehension, paragraph writing, essay writing and mini-presentations.

LSM1302 Genes and Society
This module introduces the subject of molecular and cell biology (MCB) and connects its historical background with contemporary issues. The application of MCB to society in terms of medicine, agriculture, legal aspects, forensic studies, environmental issues and biological warfare would be convered. Topics also include the ethics of genetic engineering and genetic predictions.

MA1301 Introductory Mathematics
This module serves as a bridging module for students without 'A' - level mathematics. Its aim is to equip students with appropriate mathematical knowledge and skill so as to prepare them for further study of mathematics-related disciplines. At the end of the course, students are expected to attain a level of proficiency in algebra and calculus equivalent to the GCE Advanced Level. Major topics: Sets and functions. Polynomials. Inequalities. Arithmetic and geometric series. Binomial theorem. Induction. Trigonometry. Complex numbers. Limits. Differentiation and applications. Maclaurin's series. Integration and applications. First-order ordinary differential equations.

MKT1003 Principle of Marketing
This module is designed to provide knowledge, techniques and understanding of marketing principles. It provides students with a conceptual framework to analyse and interpret marketing phenomena and to suggest courses of action in response to marketing problems. It covers topics such as the marketing concept, the marketing environment and the marketing mix which includes product, pricing, distribution and promotion. Other related topics include consumer behaviour, market segmentation and targeting, marketing research and information system, marketing planning, implementation and control, and public issues in marketing. This is a foundation module for business students and provides the basis for later concentration in the marketing area.

For the time-being, i know that i will have friends to be with ard during some lecture and some tutorials, so at least i don't feel so lonely.. Just hope that things go fine..

First Birthday present of the year:

from my dear jie jie, da ge and er ge~~

got it in february right after chinese new year.. Coz at that time, i was going to Alexandra Hospital for attachment. This present is given due to:

1. I got motion illness. Listening to music while travelling will help to reduce the illness.
2. I will get bored to death to travel so far
3. I wanted one badly.

Then, on 2rd August, i receive a red packet:

From HSBC?

Nah~ you think the bank so good meh.. It is from my DA GE and DA SAO!! He called mum and ask mum to give me 1st. How much inside? Secret~ He said that it was to add on to "celebrate" my silver award, diploma with merit and admission to university. Heehee~ extra cash then~

On 3rd August, i met up with Liyan 1st as mention in Part 2. She gave me this immediately after we meet~

IS A TALKING BEAR!!! LOL.. But the voice is not yamapi's nor makoto's nor zaizen's nor erm.. it is LIYAN'S VOICE!! Heehee~~ Very sweet of her~ so nice~ Content shall not be disclosed.

Usually i do not treasure soft-toys(but will definitely tresure this), and till now, the only soft-toy that i treasure is a puppet frog from my er ge since i was 4 years old. A short account of the incident.

I went for my 1st(or 2nd) movie with da jie when i was 4 years old. Then i saw this puppet froggy with it big big eyes looking at me.. I knew i wanted, and da jie can see that i like it. BUT.. da jie knew that daddy do not like us to have soft-toy that is hairy, as kids' eye will get itchy i think.. Anyway da jie did not buy it, and we went home with some regrets. That very night, i had a dream. The froggy scold me. WHY-YOU-DON'T-WANT-ME!!! Boo~ i wake up in tears, and at that time, only mummy and er ge was at home. Then to make me stop crying, er ge(at that time only 15 years old) promise to buy for me after school. I can still remember me waiting at the door, pacing up and down, waiting for er ge(or actually froggy)'s return. That's how i get the puppet froggy and till now, i still call it a "froggy" and will never throw away nor give it to anyone.

Back to presents..

After the museum trip with Liyan, i went to meet kkg and suchun, suprisely they were also on the same train as me, but we only realise it when we reach toa payoh. We then headed for kbox, to sing till evening while waiting for doreen to end her lesson around 5:30pm. After we have settle down, amelia pass me a pretty paper bag that looks like this:

These are 2 Japanese Dorama that i wanted badly.. And i din even know that anego is available in Singapore!! Oh my god, i am going to fall in love with Jin Akanishi again~

For those who like Japanese stuff and culture will definitely know that in japan, you are considered an adult once you reach the age of 20(Singapore 21). Chinese should understand the few words then. The word "li" which has a back-drop of red color means present(for non-chinese).

I will 1st like to wish u a veri belated Happy Mothers' Day. Haha.
Have known u so long but this is the 1st time I'm writing u a letter.

1) Dance para para super well! Was so proud of u tt time

3) Plenty of clothes and shoes wiz gd fashion sense
4) Street smart, always our "mother" who bring us around to eat.

5) MOST IMPORTANTLY, I feel veri comfortable wiz u... spending time wiz u... be it sitting down at cafe, shopping, sentosa... lalala

Some advice to u!
1) Pls rebond ur hair (u look so pretty in tt photo!)
2) Pls dun wear low cut until the guys nose bleed
3) Well, lower ur expectaion for a bf ba.
4) Try to act cute at times? I mean learn to be more innocent & naive
