That day i was randomly reading some blog and i come across a letter that a girl wrote to a blogger regarding her love problems. The content go generally like this.

Basically, everytime my friends have a party or a movie outing, I always invite my BF to come along. He is my partner and I like having him with me.

But yesterday, I got into an argument with him because one of his friends (female) whom I haven't met yet, invited him to her birthday BBQ. I asked if I could come along and he said no because I wasn't invited.

This is not the first time something like this has happened. I have tried talking to him about this matter... but no change! Everytime he has an outing or gathering, he never invites me to join him... and it's not like it's a boy's night out kinda thing.

I am upset because when he got the invite, he didn't think to ask her if he could bring his girlfriend. We have been together for 1 year now. It's not as if I am just a new friend so his friend does know that he has a girlfriend yet she didn't have the courtesy to invite me as well???

Am i over reacting?

My bf & i are serious opposite in this. He is the type who always ask me along when his friends/colleagues etc ask him out/invite him to a party etc. Whereas for me, i seriously do not enjoy doing it. I dunno why he does so, pershaps he is like this like this ger who like the company of his/her partner. But as for me, i have my reasons.

1. I don't live my life around a man
I believe lovey-dovey crazy time is only during the 1st few months. We each have our own life to lead and i don't want to be involve too much in his life or too much involvement from him in my life. i believe that we need to have our own time, meet up with our friends and do the catching up, w/o ppl who don't blend in.

2. Doesn't it just make things awkward?
I kinda dislike the idea when during a gathering, my guy friend bring his gf, or ger friend bring her bf. Don't you think it is kinda irritating when you have to be careful talking to ur guy friend becoz his gf is ard, or can't really talk to your ger friend about personal things becoz she is linking arms with a guy? I think it is fine to attend parties together as a couple. But i don't like the "tagging along to outing/gathering" kind of feeling.

Be fair, there are some exceptional cases that i can accept my friend bring his/her partner along.
a. he/she wanna introduce to us
b. an announcement of marriage
c. we belong to the same clique.
d. your partner is invited!! e.g. parties!!
e. everyone is bring their the-other-half along.

Strictly speaking, i have only bring my bf to meet my friends 3 times?

1. Boss (Yan Hao)'s birthday party. Yan Hao invited him. But at the end, i realise that it was not right. I find the guys don't talk to me like the way they used too.
2. With the gers @ some pub. In fact, i was drinking with the gers, and he came to pick me for a movie, so he came in to say hello while the gers get introduced to him.
3. Our mutual friend's birthday. KTV. So maybe this is not counted?

Of coz, i'm not being fair, coz there may be a chance that the guy in that letter have something to hide. But if the guy happen to be like me, then i suggest the ger to start meeting up her friends alone, w/o the presence of her bf. She will realise that what she has been missing.

while i was thinking of great plans for the off day. I din manage to do much.
I made salad and the high-calories tom yum beehoon that kkg dad taught me.

I try packing my room but failed. Coz half-way i decided that i should pack my uni notes but then i feel that it is a waste to throw them away, so i keep it.. =(
Do you guys keep your uni notes & textbooks?

In the end all the bags of new purchase are still lying around my room and i'm still thinking of shopping .. ^_^

but well, at the end of the day, i manage to DIY-manicure!! *pat on my own back* =D

today is my last day at the UniSim and i'm kinda happy to be back "home" tml~~ hehe...

yeah!! but too bad euxil is not around, hope she enjoy her holiday!!

Tonight & tomorrow

I'm freaking tired so i'm not going to work too late. Just wanna be in time before the super-market close so that i can stock up on my baby romanine or butterhead.

Not working tomorrow and couldn't schedule for a massage. Was thinking of making the tom yam soup bee hoon that kkg's dad cook that day but is calorie-counting time. That's why gg to stock on those instead. Tonight & tomorrow i gg to eat vege vege & vege.

My To-do list for today & tomorrow.

1. Make salad
2. Pack my room >> Super duper messy
3. Knit another half a ball of thread
4. Organise my dramas in HDD
5. Maybe some shopping?
6. DIY Manicure (the one that i did last wed was like ruin)

Thus my plan for the next 30 over hours is

tonight : buy vege >> make salad >> organise my HDD >> knit
tomorrow : replenish sleep >> pack room >> Shopping >> knit >> DIY Manicure

why one day only have so little hours? T_T
i probably drop the idea of shopping, shop on weekend instead. =(

OT has return... but probably will last till 16 Sep only coz is OT becoz of gg UniSim for fire-fighting. I have been super guai recently that i actually took bus to work today =D

Back from a break

The 4 days of leave doesn't make me any happier or more relaxed. In fact i felt pretty lost from work. The worse thing is that i'm going another site temporary to make myself even more lost from my current working environment T_T The thought of it make me miss everyone. Especially when i was super looking forward to coming back and having meals with my lovely co-workers. miya says it is not healthy (mentally) and i had to argee. Trying my best to make adjustment now.

On and Off i will be taking leave. Msg me if you are interested. I have manage to plan for 7 days of leave including a short MY trip with baby and 2 night stays in Marina Bay Sands. I had already book the room for Marina Bay Sands and it is the most expensive room (note, not suite). 2 days coz it will be for my mum's bday celebration. Anyone know if MBS has any good cake shop for bday cake? No way that i'm bringing it in from elsewhere. Dumb & Lazy.

As for the malaysia trip, sorry for the dissappointment but we going genting. Being broke (wedding & house), we had no choice but to settle for a 3 nights in Genting since is it FREE!! And yes, we only have to pay for the transportation and food. Actually it is kinda great for the poor little us.

I still have 9 more days of leave to plan. Which i will keep some for yan or mayu who are coming back end of this year. I love meeting up with them. Or i should say i just missed them.

Today i took a journey back home on a road that has many meaning to me. Is a desire, i told myself. But i can't help feeling sad. Sometimes it is scary when happy memories give you a sadness effect whenever you think about it.
